Window Screens

Screens are usually made of aluminum mesh; they are very helpful in helping the air in and keeping insects out. Manufacturers today offer built-in pull down screens within the window frame. Several screen materials are available:

Aluminum – rustproof, resilient, provide great visibility, most common.

Fiberglass – typically vinyl coated, suited for costal area, will not corrode, dent or rust.

Solar screening – block two thirds of the sun’s heat, and provide protection against insects, great for less summer energy consumption.

Pet screening – heavy duty, resists tears, punctures, and other damages caused by pets or toddlers.
