Pools & Spas
Understanding spas

The definition of spa is any small pool that contains benches for sitting, jet to whirl the water into a relaxing stream of bubbles, and a heater to keep the water warm.  The easiest way to create a spa is to build one right into the pool, the spa can be made of the same materials as the pool and use the same water supply and filtration systems. If you don’t have a swimming pool, you can build a spa directly into the ground.

However, the high expense of the construction has made this choice unpopular. An excellent choice is the portable spa – the plumbing and electrical systems come fully assembled in the unit, and it includes a self contained filtration system. Sizes vary widely from a small version that sit 2 to a larger styles that sit 8. It has an excellent heating capacity and the jets can be used in combination with heaters.
