Plumbing fixtures include the sinks, tubs, showers, water heaters, toilets etc. it is crucial to plan the positioning of these fixtures wisely, and to try to keep as much plumbing as you can at one side of the house, or relatively close to one another. Hot water that will stand in a long pipe line, or need to travel a long distance to the faucet will cool off. To keep cost expenses low, try to plan your plumbing so that it is concentrated in groups, e.g. – in a bathroom, have all plumbing fixtures lined up on one wall, and on the other side of that wall, will be a kitchen or a laundry room using the same plumbing in the wall.
