Pipe insulation

In order to prevent freezing or conserve warmth it is recommended to have every pipe, hot or cold, insulated with heavy duty fiberglass or polyethylene foam tubes, their seams should be sealed with insulating tape. Insulated pipes will prevent hot water from losing heat and cooling off in the line, and will prevent cold water from absorbing heat and getting wormed up while sitting in the line. Also, water will not have to flow as long to reach the desired hot or cold temperature at the faucet.
