Patio Conversion into Bedroom - Topanga, CA (Los Angeles County)

In this project we were contacted for a specific purpose of adding additional living space for a home by converting a covered patio section into a bedroom. Due to the customer’s low budget, we had to use the existing structure as much as we can.

We started with an inspection, following with a new design and sketches for the new bedroom. The construction process started with demolition of the existing stucco cover on the patio posts and half walls, followed by framing, windows installation, rough electrical, insulation etc.

The finish included installation of drywalls, carpet flooring installation, doors and a closet and interior painting.

In this project the customers were expecting a baby and our goal was to cause as little inconvenience as we could, timing was the second big issue. Finally the project was completed in an extremely short time and resulted with an additional beautiful bedroom that was assigned to the new baby.
