Family room conversion and kitchen renovation Los Angeles, CA.
In 2009 our company was selected to perform a major renovation project that included: kitchen remodeling, complete family room transformation, wood floors installation, tile floors installation, interior home painting and electrical work.
The project started with a set of plans approved by the city of Downey, which included the general design of the kitchen and family room areas.
After meeting with the customers and understanding their goal, which was to transform their traditional looking home into a beautiful, modern home. Our design crew decided to make some changes to the plans, once these changes were concluded, we selected all the finish materials and accessories with the customers and went to work!
The construction project started with a major demolition of the entire flat roof area above the family room, gutting out of the old kitchen and upgrading the rough electrical and plumbing systems prior to the installation of the new kitchen. We then continued with major foundation support and framing construction in order to create the exposed beams look and the flawless transition from the new kitchen to the renovated family room.
Finishing touches of the project included the installation of modern custom made solid maple cabinets the were stained with a dark espresso finish, distressed maple wood floors and exposed beams, porcelain tile floors, Cesar stone countertop, decorative glass mosaic on the backsplash and installation of the high-end Viking kitchen appliances.
