The caulking is an ideal solution for sealing cracks and narrow gaps. It is a rubber like material that will adjust to any opening, and will not crack or deteriorate for at least several years. A house should be sealed with appropriate material applied along the inside of the studs, the ceiling joists and the floor joists in order to prevent movement of moisture from the living areas into the insulation. When the insulation becomes damp or wet it loses some of its efficiency.
