Gates & Fences
Laying out fence lines

The installation of the fence begins with plotting the fence line and marking post locations. Commonly, every post is set in concrete. The most reliable wood posts are pressure treated with chemicals.

Materials

It is significant to consider the function of the structure as well as its appearance, when selecting building materials. The decision that you will make will impact the style, durability and maintenance requirements. There are some options when you choose materials:

Vinyl products when properly assembled are as strong as one built from wood, also there are many styles available in a wide range of sizes and no maintenance is required. Ornamental metal products add a lot of elegance to a landscape; it is a lighter, less expensive form of the classic wrought iron. The chain link provide an excellent security at a reasonable price, it is made from galvanized steel, and relatively maintenance free. It doesn’t offer a lot regarding privacy or style. Wood is still the most common building material in outdoor construction.  When choosing lumber the main consideration is its suitability for outdoor use. Some of the most popular choices are redwood and cedar. They are attractive soft woods with a natural resistance to moisture and insects. The pressure treated pine is stronger, less expensive and more durable than redwood or cedar.

Natural stone is one of the best building materials you can use, it comes in beautiful colors and textures along with high durability and elegance. But it is a very expensive material also. Manufactured stone is usually designed to look like natural stone but it offers greater uniformity and easier installation. Concrete block, bricks, and glass blocks are available in many sizes and styles, it is also reasonably priced.
