One of the most dominant features of a house, is the finishing of its exterior walls. It is also the final protecting layer between the outside and the inside of the house.
There are some considerations you want to keep in mind when you go and choose the material to cover your house’s exterior walls, the overall cost of materials and installation, the colors and textures available, how resistant it is to moisture and weather, how flammable the material is, it’s sound insulation and absorption, and how well does it resist insects.
Aluminum Sidings
Available in many colors, shades, and textures, for horizontal and vertical installation. May provide additional sound and thermal insulation when installed over polystyrene or similar backer boards.
Aluminum is very low maintenance; its baked-on finish can last 20-40 years, depending on the quality.
It manufactured in a wide variety of colors and textures, some look just like wood, it will not split, rot, or crack. The aluminum siding may dent upon impact of a rock or other object thrown at it, unless it is installed tightly on a polystyrene or Styrofoam board. The color on the siding might get scratched off it, and show the shiny bare aluminum beneath it, that may badly react to sea air, and air borne chemicals. Aluminum prices may be high and are subject to global supply and demand.
