How to Create A Coffee Kitchen Decor

If you love coffee, you may want to consider placing this love of yours on the walls. Decorating with coffee is becoming a popular decor choice in the kitchen. Coffee uses some wonderful colors that make you feel as relaxed and happy as drinking it. If you want to get a coffee decor in your kitchen, here are a few things that you can do.

How does coffee make you feel? Do you have to drink a cup first thing in the morning to get your day started? Do you enjoy sipping on coffee at the coffee shop while you talk to your friends? Or do you like to end the day with a nice cup of coffee while you watch your favorite movie or read your favorite book? Does the inside of a coffee shop make you feel all warm and comfortable? Then it’s time to put this decor in your kitchen so you can enjoy this feeling all the time.

Your first decision you will need to make and will affect all your other choices is do you want a retro coffee house look or do you want a modern coffee decor? If you aren’t familiar with the older retro style coffee house designs then do a quick search online to find out what they looked like and how you can incorporate them into your kitchen if you chose this design. If you go with the modern design coffee shop, you simply need to take a trip down to your nearest coffee shop and look around while you enjoy a cup of your favorite coffee.

The retro coffee shop decor is going to be more of a diner look then a modern coffee shop look that you see today. If you are not going to serve only coffee in your kitchen this may be the look that you want. When you use this style you can use any color scheme that you choose.

The Walls

You can keep the walls simple but yet very decorative by placing retro coffee pots, percolators, and retro style cream and sugar contains on a shelf. First, paint your walls a beige color or a tone of brown that is appealing to you. Then you can place metal shelves on the walls to set your collection on.

Retro coffee signs are also popular. There are certain companies online that make these retro metal signs that you can hang on your walls if you can’t find them used or at a second hand shop.

All the leading major shopping stores, like Walmart and Target, are selling the retro look so you can decorate with it. However, they only have a certain amount of retro coffee decor. If you want to create a unique look, start shopping antique shops and online auction sites for a variety of items you can use.

Floors

Decorating your floors are going to be easy to do with the coffee look. You can simply add chocolate area rugs or any brown rugs to your floor in front of the sink and the stove. Off set the colors by adding white rugs in front of the eating area.
