A Cherry Theme Kitchen Decor

When it comes to decorating your kitchen, you actually have so many options to choose from. Each theme allows you the opportunity to personalize the look of the room that much more. There are country themes, rustic themes, log cabin, retro, diner, coffee shop, and more. You can also personalize your kitchen with a fruit or food theme. If you love cherries then you may want to choose a cherry theme. How do you incorporate cherries into your kitchen theme?

First, you need to know how much is enough. If you incorporate too many cherries into your decor you end up with a distracting bitter look. You need to only accent with cherries. The right look can be accomplished with a little bit of planning.

Your Base Color

When you think about cherries, you think about the color of red however, if you add the color of red to your cherry decor, you wouldn’t be able to see the individualized cherries and the room would be too distracting. Your base color choices are green, brown, and gray. These colors will allow you to create a balanced look in your kitchen decor. You can accent the look with other colors. For example, if you choose stone or gray for your primary color, you can accent with brown and green. If you choose green as your primary color, then accent it with brown and gray. There are so many different color combinations that will help you balance the look that much more.

Cherries Or No Cherries

Not everything has to be done in cherries. You can choose to use the colors of cherries and not use the actual fruits accept to accent with. There are a variety of cherry red hues. You can choose from black cherry, bright red cherry, pale red cherry, and more. Each shade offers a different look to your decor.

Finding cherries to accent your decor may be hard to do so you need to accent with cherry colors. For kitchen towels, dish cloths, table cloths, table runners, and curtains, you need to use red and green or white colors. Appliances can also be done in cherry red. However, remember, you don’t want too many cherry colors in your decor. Make it yourself if you can’t find what you are looking for.

If you decorate in red you can accent with cherries. Set artificial cherries on the table in a bowl. Paint them on a watering pitcher or create a cherry stencil that you can place on everything cloth.

Floors

Choose cherry shaped area rugs or you can use the colors like red rugs, brown rugs, gray rugs, or green rugs. Place the rugs in front of your major appliances and where you plan to stand for long periods of time, for example, the refrigerator, stove, and sink.

A cherry decor design is perfect for kitchens no matter where you live. Owning an orchard of cherry trees that you have to harvest every year or just going to the store and picking up a bunch of cherries to bake a pie, a cherry theme is perfect for your kitchen.
